Lui Paard is een Nederlandstalige band uit Amsterdam en omstreken. Gestart in 2015 en echt goed van de grond gekomen in 2016. Overal waar we komen, zetten we de boel op zijn kop. Met dansbare songs over herkenbare onderwerpen. Lui Paard past op elk festival. Maar net zo makkelijk passen we in een muziekcafé. Ook in die kleinere setting slaat de vonk over. Een optreden van Lui Paard is altijd energiek en de songs ‘blijven lekker hangen’. Lui Paard relativeert. Daar hebben we de leeftijd voor. We gaan er niet (meer) met gestrekt been in, maar geven soms een venijnig knietje. Soms zijn we kritisch, maar vaak met een knipoog. Het loopt altijd goed af. In juli 2019 verscheen ons eerste album ‘Het gaat over jou’, in 2022 gevolgd door de zomersingle ‘Cadzand’ die aandacht kreeg op regionale en landelijke radio. Begin 2024 verscheen de EP ‘Cowboy met een lui paard’. Het gelijknamige nummer staat vast op het repertoire. Momenteel toert de band langs festivals, muziekcafés en zalen.

Lui Paard is a Dutch-language band from Amsterdam and the surrounding area. Started in 2015 and really took off in 2016. Everywhere we go, we turn things upside down. With danceable songs about relatable topics. Lui Paard fits at any festival, but we fit just as easily in a music café. Even in those smaller settings, the spark catches on. A Lui Paard performance is always energetic and the songs “stick with you.” Lui Paard puts things in perspective – we’re at the age for that. We don’t go in with full force (anymore), but we’ll sometimes deliver a sharp jab. Sometimes we’re critical, but often with a wink. It always ends well.
In July 2019, our first album Het gaat over jou (“It’s about you”) was released, followed in 2022 by the summer single Cadzand, which received attention on regional and national radio. In early 2024, the EP Cowboy met een lui paard (“Cowboy with a lazy horse”) was released. The title track has become a staple in our repertoire. The band is currently touring festivals, music cafés, and venues.
